We were looking for an online brokerage firm that allows customers to trade Stocks, Options, Mutual Funds, ETFs and Fixed Incomes at competitive cost. We were most interested in OnLine Trading and Stock Trading.
I know that times are bad, and yes we have watched our 401K get slimmer and slimmer in the past weeks. We were also told by several friends that know a heck of a lot more than we do about investments and savings and Stock Trading, that now is the best time to buy. Of course we would need to do a lot of research and take the heads up from those that know more than we do on what stocks etc would be beneficial to us in the long run, and which ones to stay clear from, someone like an OnLine Broker could help us also.
As I said, we were looking on line and found a discount brokerage firm, that offers a lot of the things were looking for. Check out First Trade for yourselves and see if they offer anything that you are looking for.

Working Poor
I finally got health insurance thru Dr. Cornys work group health plan.
For those of you who don't remember, I was without health coverage for over a year. Because I have a serious health condition, No, and I mean NO health insurance company would sell me health insurance.
So, I am relieved that I finally have insurance, because if something did happen and I had another heart attack or had to have another surgery, it could bankrupt us.
Even tho we are now covered as a family under the group plan, the premiums are thru the roof high. Obscene high. Almost the amount of our mortgage high.
Things HAVE to change. Middle Class is now the working poor.

Tactical Pants
Although tactical pants are pretty much the standard dress for tactical officers and law enforcement, civilians also enjoy all the functionality that's packed into these pants. Operator Tactical Pants are so functional and packed with with so many features that everyone can enjoy wearing them.
They have 10 pockets, made of 60% Cotton/40% Polyester and they are fade resistant. They will look the same color no matter how many times you wash them. They have many many other features but what I like the best, is they look nice!

These pants will be on my shopping list for Christmas this year. I have 3 grown sons that hunt, fish, etc. These pants are rugged enough for them and will last a long time.

Eye Glasses for Less
There are a lot of people without health insurance these days. Up until a week ago, I was one of them. The cost of heath insurance is skyrocketing. My heath insurance does not cover eye glasses. In fact, I can't remember the last time I had insurance that did cover eyeglasses. I get a discount but that's about it. The last time I bought a pair of glasses, the entire cost was well over $300.00.
I need new eye glasses, like months ago. Mini Bug stepped on mine, and every now and then the lens pops out and I have to put it back in. That gets on my nerves. Not only that, but I find myself squinting to see things, and having to take my glasses off to read or look at my monitor. My eyes have changed and I know I need a new eye prescription.
I found that Zenni Optical who makes the claim that they are the market leader in quality, cost effective prescription eyeglasses, have prescription glasses starting at just $8.00. I can see how a family without Vision Insurance could really use a company like this. Imagine having several children who need to wear glasses, and you don't have insurance to cover the cost. Yikes! It could lead to family arguments, about finances.
So I went to Zenni Opticals site and took a look around, to see if they had anything I liked. I found this pair of Rimless stainless steel that I kinda liked. I am thinking as a second pair of glasses I couldn't go wrong.

Blog Explosion still running?
I seem to be having a problem with Blog Explosion. Is anyone else having a problem? The referal links arent showing up on my sidebar and when I try to access the site I get a address not found error message.
I know they have been kinda dead in the water for over a year now, but I kinda like Blog Explosion, I was hoping they would eventually make a come back. I like their battle of the blogs thing the best.
If they did shut down, it would have been nice if they would have let us know ahead of time. If they didn't shut down, then I wonder what is going on.
Anyone else having the same problems?

Costume Shopping
Mini Bug turned 3 this October. I am thinking about taking her out for Halloween and letting her go trick or treating.
I haven't gotten a costume yet, mostly because of lack of time. I was thinking about getting her a costume on line and I kind of like one that I found at one of the online Halloween Costumes Stores that I found. It seemed perfect for her, since she is as cute as an angel but has the temperament of a lil devil hahaha. I think she would look perfectly devilish in a cute little devil costume.

For costumes, do you enjoy on line shopping or going to your local store better? On line works better for me. No screaming kids to deal with while I am trying to chose Halloween Costumes. Actually I like to do most of my shopping on line if I can. Shopping with these two lil angel/dev, can turn into a nightmare in seconds. One screaming they want this or that, or doesn't want to be in the shopping cart and wanting to run free, and the other one who is only 7 months old, screaming just because he can! So I think I will be doing the costume buying on line, this year. It doesn't really matter what I buy because it will go in the garbage when Halloween is over, she wont fit into it next year and the baby is a boy, can't save it for him.
Now I have to go the store and stock up on lots of goodies and candy for the little trick or treaters that will be coming to our door this year :)

Brain Fog
Sorry for the lack of posts lately, I really have been stressed out to the ultimate max.
There is so much going on in my life, you would think I could fill 10 blogs with just my day to day ramblings of my life. But, when I sit down to blog, it seems like the words just buzz around in my head like a bee swarm and I can't form a complete thought.
I will leave you with this...Potty Training SUCKS. I know I did it 3 times before, but I honestly can't remember it, and I don't know how in the hell I did it. It's not working. She just turned 3 and it's not working. I don't know what in the hell I am doing wrong. I will have her sit on the potty for an hour..she gets up, and goes potty!!!!
Any advice??
